About this tour
One park, fifty ways to spend the day
Xcaret is not a water park and it is not a museum — it is 200 acres of jungle, cenotes and Caribbean coastline where Mexico tells its own story. In a single day you can float down an underground river, walk a coral reef aquarium, meet jaguars and macaws, wander a replica Mexican cemetery carved into a hillside, and finish with a 300-artist musical spectacle that traces the country from its pre-Hispanic roots to the present.
With MeetPlaya you get there in a 100% private vehicle — your family, your driver, your schedule. No shared shuttles. No hotel-to-hotel pickup loops. No waiting for strangers.
Your private transportation — what's always included
- Door-to-door pickup at your hotel, private residence or Airbnb in Cancún, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya or Tulum.
- Late-model Toyota HiAce (1–10 passengers) with air conditioning — Chevrolet Suburban Deluxe available as an upgrade for groups of 1–6.
- Professional bilingual driver, uniformed, insured and licensed.
- Onboard cooler at no extra charge with cold bottled water.
- Free child seats or booster seats on request when you book.
- Return trip on your schedule — you tell the driver whether you're staying for the night show.
Your admission: Xcaret Plus
We work with the Xcaret Plus admission — the complete version of the park, and the one that actually makes sense for a full day. Add it in "Complete Your Experience" below and we'll have your voucher issued before pickup:
- More than 50 attractions, cultural exhibitions and guided walks.
- Xcaret México Espectacular — the night show at the Gran Tlachco Theater.
- Three underground rivers, with life jacket and waterproof bag service included.
- Beach, natural inlet and sheltered pools, with lounge chairs, hammocks and rest areas.
- Coral Reef Aquarium, House of Whispers and the regional wildlife breeding centre.
- Chapel of San Francisco de Asís and the Mexican Cemetery.
- A full buffet lunch with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks and one beer per adult.
- Plus Area facilities — private lockers, dressing rooms and restrooms — plus snorkel gear.
The show is included. No separate ticket, no upgrade, no extra line at the theater.
Water & nature — all of it included
- Three underground rivers — the signature Xcaret experience. Life jacket and a waterproof bag service for your belongings are included.
- Beach, natural inlet and sheltered pools with hammocks, lounge chairs and inner tubes.
- Coral Reef Aquarium — the Mesoamerican Reef recreated in open-air tanks.

Culture & Mexico — the part people don't expect
- Mayan Village and original archaeological remains right inside the park.
- Mexican Cemetery — 365 graves on a spiral hill, one of the most photographed spots in the Riviera Maya.
- Hacienda Henequenera and the Folk Art Museum, with pieces from across the country.
- Chapel of San Francisco de Asís and the House of Whispers.
- Papantla Flying Men, pre-Hispanic dances and the Charro Horse Exhibition.
- Children's World — a play area built exclusively for younger kids.
Xcaret México Espectacular — don't miss it
At 7:00 p.m. the Gran Tlachco Theater fills with more than 300 artists on stage for a two-hour journey through Mexican history: a pre-Hispanic ball game, colonial-era scenes, and a state-by-state parade of regional music and dance. It is included in every admission type and it is the reason most guests say the day was worth it.
⏰ Plan your return: the show ends around 9:15–9:30 p.m. If you are staying in Playa del Carmen or the Riviera Maya, your driver brings you home right after. If you are staying in Cancún or Puerto Morelos, add the Night Show Late Return option so we can schedule the unit and driver accordingly.
⚡ Optional activities you can add inside the park
These are paid separately from admission and most require advance booking. Add them here and skip the on-site queue:

☀️ What to bring — and what the park will confiscate
- Swimsuit under your clothes, a towel and a full change of dry clothes.
- Water shoes for the rivers and comfortable walking shoes — the park is large and you will walk several kilometers.
- ? Sunscreen: only titanium-oxide or zinc-oxide mineral sunscreen is allowed. Chemical sunscreens and repellents will be held at the entrance — biodegradable sunscreen is available inside.
- ? No outside food or drinks are permitted inside the park.
- A credit card for souvenirs, photos and optional activities.
- The Xcaret app — it has the park map and the day's show times, and the park is big enough that you will use it.
Insider tips from our drivers
- Arrive at opening (8:30 a.m.). The underground rivers are calm and nearly empty for the first two hours; by noon there's a line.
- Do the rivers first, culture in the afternoon. The cultural zone is shaded and works better in the heat of the day.
- Reserve your theater seats early in the day at the Tlachco kiosk — good seats go fast.
- Buy the Xcaret Plus admission if you plan to stay past 2:00 p.m. À-la-carte food inside the park costs more than the buffet upgrade.
- Bring cash for the ISEPAAA environmental tax if the park is charging it on your visit date.
Booking & payment
- Prepayment is required to confirm your reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal. We do not accept cash or Discover.
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your tour date. Inside 48 hours, park admissions already issued follow Grupo Xcaret's own cancellation policy.
- Prices are shown in USD and charged in MXN at the day's exchange rate.
- Groups of 11 or more: message us on WhatsApp and we'll coordinate multiple vehicles together.
